Terms, Please Read


The Booking

The agreement is for the hire of the caravan by the Hirer and his/her party for short term holiday letting and is entered into when the required deposit has been received, the funds have cleared and the Owner makes written confirmation of the booking to the Hirer.


Who’s in your party

You have to give the names and ages of everyone in your party on the booking form. Only those people listed on your booking confirmation can occupy your holiday home and anyone not listed on the booking confirmation will be required to leave the park. In these circumstances no refund or compensation will be given.


Deposit for your holiday


   A deposit of 15% is required for all bookings.

   Please note that no bookings are secure until a deposit has been received.


The Bond


   An additional returnable bond of £50 will be added to the total booking and held as a bond against key loss, damage and/or extra cleaning.


Paying for your holiday

The full rental fee plus bond will be due for payment not less than six weeks before the holiday commencement date. This can be paid by cash, cheque or BACS* electronic transfer.

If the booking is made within six weeks of the holiday commencement date, the full accommodation rental fee and the additional £50 bond will be required when booking.

Failure to make full payment at the appropriate time will result in the cancellation of the booking, the return of the bond and any deposits will be forfeit.


Use of the holiday home

The lead guest must be over 21 years.

No single sex groups are allowed.

The Hirer is deemed responsible for the caravan and it is required as a condition of this agreement that all members of the Hirer’s party take reasonable care of it. All members of the Hirer’s party and visitors must obey the Park Rules and Regulations, a copy of which are available in the caravan and at the Park Office.

All equipment and utensils, the caravan and furniture are to be left clean and tidy at the end of the period of hire**. All damage / breakages should be reported immediately. We reserve the right to charge the Hirer for any damages, breakages or extra cleaning or any other unusual or exceptional expenditure which is not be deemed to be normal wear and tear including where such claims exceed the additional deposit paid.

Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons stated on the booking form sleep in the caravan. Pillows and duvets are provided however pillow cases, duvet covers and sheets are not provided***

** Professional cleaning can be arranged at an additional cost of £25. Please indicate on the booking form if cleaning is required.

***Please note that a linen pack can be provided at a additional cost of £5 per single bed and £10 per double bed. Please indicate on the booking form if a linen pack is required.

It is a condition of this agreement that smoking is not permitted inside the caravan at any time. Any smoking outside the caravan must be exercised with due caution for the risk of fire. If you smoke in this non-smoking accommodation your deposit will be forfeit and you will be required to pay an additional fee of £150 for the deep cleaning of the accommodation.

Gas, water and electricity charges are included in the cost of renting the caravan.


Prior to arrival

Prior to arrival the caravan is inspected for breakages, damage and cleanliness by an unbiased third party company.


The guest should notify us as soon as possible should the booking for any reason need to be cancelled. For any cancellation by the Hirer before the arrival date the deposit will be forfeit and a whole or partial refund of the balance may be made entirely at our discretion. Any cancellation or early termination of the period of hire during the booked period of hire shall not affect the amount payable.

We reserve the right to cancel the rental at any time and will return all monies paid. This right is reserved for exceptional circumstances. We will not be liable to pay any compensation/damages whatsoever for any loss or expenses incurred by the Hirer in the event of this exceptional right being exercised.



Pets are are permitted in the caravan only by prior arrangement, terms and conditions apply. Please contact us for more details.


Arrival and departure times

The caravan will be ready for occupation after 2:00pm on the day of arrival and it should be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. Failure to respect the departure time may result in an extra charge for the time waiting incurred by the cleaners.



Any complaints must be made immediately to us and we will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible to ensure the continued enjoyment of your holiday. If unresolved the complaint must be confirmed in writing within seven days of the end date of the period of hire by the Hirer.


Your personal possessions

A minimum charge of £25 is made for the return of lost property after your departure. We accept no responsibility for items reported lost which cannot be found. Property belonging to the Hirer’s party is at all times the responsibility of the Hirer.


Behaviour on park

The park is used primarily by families and we ask that the behaviour of you and your party reflects this fact.

Noisy, offensive or inappropriate behaviour or actions likely to cause harm to any other guest, members of our staff or anyone’s property at the holiday park will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to refuse entry to and/or eject any person who, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the park, not complying with these standards of behaviour. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

All children must be properly supervised by parents or guardians throughout your holiday, including all park organised activities. We reserve the right to deny access to the facilities and/or any children’s activities if, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the park, we believe that any child or children will be unduly disruptive.


Facilities on the park

For health and safety reasons some of the facilities have age and/or height restrictions. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult in the swimming pool. One adult may not supervise more than two children under 8 in the swimming pool. At busy times access to facilities may be restricted. The park retains the right to close or withdraw certain facilities (e.g. for health and safety reasons, or maintenance or reasons beyond our control) and we are not liable to you if they do so.


Park Entertainment

To access the Parkdean Holidays’ Social and Bingo Club you will need to purchase separate entertainment passes at an additional nominal £10pp fee at the park reception. You will need to show these to the park venue security to access the facilities and entertainment.


Your car on the park

Only one vehicle is allowed to park next to the caravan. An additional vehicle may park in the main car park on site. You should comply with speed limits and parking and other traffic regulations on park at all times. Vehicles are brought into the holiday park at your risk and we are not responsible for loss or damage to these except where it is caused by our negligence or default or that of anyone we are responsible for. Quad bikes or similar vehicles and large commercial vehicles are not allowed on park*

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data protection Act 1998)

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your booking and second to provide you with the best possible service. Your personal details will remain private and confidential. We will never sell, rent, barter or share your personal details in any way with any other company. All data collected is for our internal use only. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information we hold about you by emailing us, if you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We will NEVER send you any unsolicited e-mail. We will only contact you to answer your queries, to send you your booking confirmation or contact you on matters specifically relating to your booking. We will not contact you at any other time apart from offers and promotions. If you do not wish to receive and future offers or promotions please indicate this on the booking form by ticking the relevant box.


On leaving the caravan

Please ensure that the caravan is left how you would expect to find it. On departure an unbiased third party company are employed to inspect the caravan for damages and cleanliness. If the caravan is found to be left unclean or damaged a full report will be submitted and all or part of your bond may be forfeited to cover any costs incurred.



We take safety very seriously, to that end we require that our caravan complies with and exceeds the current safety requirements which include the following:-

Gas safety Tests Annually

Electrical Tests for fixed wiring and portable appliance testing, annual or 3 yearly as required by the park management

Smoke detectors fitted

Carbon monoxide alarm fitted

Fire extinguisher fitted

Furnishings comply with the Furnishings Fire Regulations 1988


For your part as the guest we ask that you:

Treat the caravan with respect

Do not remove any property from the caravan

Do not remove batteries from any alarms or remotes

Take care entering and exiting with the steps

Supervise young children at all times

Take care in the shower with young children, water pressure fluctuations can cause water to get very hot, this is common with all caravan accommodation, especially in high season when demand is high

Do not store open food especially sticky or sweet in the lower cupboards as this encourages ants.  Please note we are not allowed to put down ant powder for safety reasons
